United Way of the National Capital Area supports our network of over 350 nonprofit partners in the recruitment of volunteers for our partner's projects and events. Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services empowers individuals in need of food, housing and financial assistance to achieve well-being, stability and self-sufficiency.
United Way NCA Day Of Action - Volunteer with Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services!
In 2023, Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services (LARS) served more than 1,000 households across all of its programs, including food and emergency assistance programs. They are looking for a group of volunteers to support a variety of projects in their main office and food pantry, including painting, deep cleaning, reorganizing, and even maybe some gardening. With such a variety of projects to look forward to, you don't want to miss this opportunity!
Shift Details
Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing appropriate for painting, cleaning, and reorganizing. There is free street parking onsite and a few parking spots in the lot behind the building.
