United Way of the National Capital Area’s annual Project Community Connect (PCC) focuses on achieving equity for all of our community members, regardless of race, gender, income and ability. This year’s event will be held from Oct. 3 to Oct. 8, 2022, providing essential services to those at risk of or experiencing homelessness, as well as the region’s ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population. The Prince George’s Community College PCC pop-up event will provide critical resources to individuals and families in one location over the course of several hours. Volunteers are needed on Monday, October 3 to assist in event set-up and breakdown, to welcome guests and to serve as guides to help individuals and families through the numerous resource and service offerings. Please consider joining us for a fun (and meaningful) evening of building community and shifting mindsets around homelessness through personal experience and connections. There will be a virtual volunteer orientation at 6 pm, September 29 to orient you to the role of PCC volunteer. Upon registration for the October 3 Pop-Up Event, you will receive a final event email (detailing final details and logistics) on Friday, September 30. If you have any questions about the October 3 event, please contact Levina Kim at lkim@uwnca.org and Claudia Beaugard at cbeaugard@uwnca.org. We look forward to seeing you on October 3!
