Dia del Niño - the “Day of the Child”
This FREE community arts festival is an important event in the Hispanic tradition and it is universally recognized across the world to celebrate children.
Hosted at NOVA Alexandria Campus, the festival aims to build bridges between the community, police and other local agencies.
Activities include - FREE hot dogs, pinatas, health screenings, music, arts and children's entertainment. Food Trucks will be on site too!
We want our residents from around the globe to know that they are welcome and have rights, support is here, and resources are available.
500+ attendees expected for the all outdoor program that includes several activities, food, and vendors.
Volunteers roles include but not limited to:
- Welcome / greet guests
- Provide general information
- Oversee activity stations
- Support 30+ vendors and/or agencies
- Respond to the needs of performers and communicating with personnel to execute task
