Who We Are
The Financial Empowerment Center at South County opened in July 2017. The center is located in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County. Britepaths is the administering nonprofit of the center, which is partner with United Way NCA and Fairfax County.
For more than 30 years, Britepaths, formerly Our Daily Bread, has been a dedicated leader in developing sustainable solutions that stabilize low-income working families, build resilience through financial literacy and mentoring, and provide seasonal support.
What We Do
We offer programs and learning opportunities open to anyone interested in improving their finances.
Clients will receive one-on-one counseling from a trained coach to create a better financial future fro themselves. Coaches will review the client's credit report, credit score and financial habits to create a three to five step plan for the client to follow.
Other services provided at the Financial Empowerment Center at South County include tax preparation, workforce development and small business counseling.
