United Way NCA’s Community Impact Team is searching for skilled volunteers to review service provider applications for the Prince George’s County Community Schools Preferred Providers Directory. The Preferred Providers Directory ensures students receive high quality services that are proven to deliver results and contribute to student success. United Way NCA partners with Prince George’s Public County Community Schools to carefully select highly qualified providers based on programmatic criteria set by both United Way NCA and PGCPS – that’s where YOU come in!
As an application reviewer, you are tasked with providing an impartial and objective review of approximately 10 applications. You will have a direct role in identifying the service providers that will directly interact with students and their families across the entire Prince George’s County Public Schools Community Schools network.

Necessary Skills and Experience:
The volunteer serving in this role should have:
- Related experience in youth development, social work, education, and related fields
- Familiarity critically reviewing logic models and/or theories of change
- Familiarity critically reviewing and understanding data to draw conclusions about program success
- Comfortable articulating insights and interpretations of data and logic models
- Availability for a virtual training session on either May 16th at 9:30 am or May 18th at 6 pm
- Approximately 10 hours of virtual service availability between 5/19-6/2
- Comfort learning new technology and software programs (all web-based)
