Do More 24 is United Way NCA’s annual day of giving for the Washington DC region. Any nonprofit in the Washington DC area including Northern Virginia and Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties in Maryland is encouraged to participate. This volunteer opportunity is to help United Way NCA in calling local nonprofits to tell them about the opportunity to participate in Do More 24 and direct them toward resources available to help them plan for success in Do More 24. Primary duties include:
- Calling nonprofits to thank them for their prior participation in Do More 24
- Calling nonprofits to inform them of training available for raising more money in Do More 24
- Calling nonprofits to tell them about the opportunity to raise money through Do More 24
Requirements for Call Center Representatives:
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- Phone Skills – Must be able to effectively converse on the telephone to communicate with nonprofit representatives
- Computer Skills – Volunteers must be comfortable using Microsoft excel for tracking purposes
- Watch a 20 minute training webinar before starting
